Learning Technologies 2015 in Review
Posted by Adam Chester on 30/01/2015 at 10:08
We're back in the office after a fantastic two days at the exhibition. It was by far the busiest exhibition we have attended to date.
It was great to catch up with clients and friends from the learning and development sector, as well as demonstrating Prodeceo's features to lots of new people.
A busy stand.
Whilst we were busy on stand 126 I managed to find some time to see some of the talks. There were a variety of topics discussed but the common theme was still based around improving learner engagement.
Congratulations to Ann at Reapit for winning our prize draw.
What did you think of the show? Let us know in the comments below.
Training With Technology Followup
Posted by Adam Chester on 03/12/2014 at 11:56
We had a great turnout for the Training With Technology seminar that we co-hosted with Imagine Training. The turnout included a mix HR Managers, Training Coordinators and IT directors.
Our attendees left some lovely comments on the seminar, but my favourite from the day was:
I thought all three presentations were really interesting and informative - with each giving a different, but complimentary, perspective on our use of technology.
Rhiannon
Dr Adam Chester, Prodeceo
Adam gave a presentation on how modern technology is affecting attention spans and how using short focussed courses can engage learners. He also discussed his five top tips for introducing the technique to your organisation. A copy of the presentation is below.
Karen Turner, Imagine Training
Karen delivered an excellent tutorial to some of the new features in Office 2013. I think that the most impressive feature is the amount of data that the new version of Excel can handle, and how easily datasets can be combined.
Neil Lasher, Fireeye
Neil's talk was a fascinating insight on how easily computers can be afflicted by malware and the potential repercussions. The biggest takeaway from the talk was to take sensible precautions like using a different password for every system and never letting your browser store your passwords!

After the success of this event we are keen to run another one next year, so if you would like to register your interest get in touch.
